HFFS places common, perpetual preferred and convertible preferred equity securities. Working with public and private real estate operators, HFF Securities accesses institutional capital for these securities from pension funds, university endowments, private foundations, insurance companies and their advisors.

Issuances can be privately placed or publicly registered and involve primary and/or secondary shares.

HFFS also works with institutional investors to facilitate the placement of "block" trades on a direct basis. This method of distribution provides sellers of significant positions with an attractive combination of cost, risk and timing.
